For the 2024 Veterans Day Poster Contest, the Veterans Day National Committee (VDNC) called on professional and amateur artists to create picture perfect designs that reflect the theme of this year’s Veterans Day observance, “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service.” The competition was tough. There were more than 150 entries from people ranging from school-age children to graphic designers with decades of experience. When all ballots were tallied, the VDNC selected the design created by Myisha Godette. [From VA News]

VA’s Office of Advanced Manufacturing (OAM) plays a pivotal role in using cutting-edge technologies to enhance Veterans’ lives. Through advanced 3D printing and digital dentistry, OAM helped reshape the smile of Clay Hill through dentures. Hill, 76, is a Vietnam Army Veteran (pictured above) who endured facial trauma during his service. [From VA News]

The 369th Infantry Regiment, famously known as the Harlem Hellfighters, has a significant place in American military history. Comprised mainly of African American soldiers, the regiment faced racial barriers and showed remarkable bravery and resilience in tough times. Their story is about their determination and unwavering pursuit of equality despite facing discrimination. [From VA News]
