Each month, VA’s Center for Women Veterans profiles a different woman Veteran author as part of its Women Veteran Authors Book Corner. This month’s author interview is with Army Veteran Stacey Bulluck, who wrote “Regaining Power Through Resilience: Don’t Let Your Brain Go Numb.” Bulluck joined the National Guard at 17 and later received a degree in journalism from the University of Iowa. Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Becky Halstead, who was the first female graduate from West Point to attain the rank of general. Army Veteran Rebecca Halstead was a pioneer for women in the military, graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in its second ever class to include women. Halstead grew up in Willseyville, New York, and became the first person from her town to attend West Point after graduating from Candor High School in 1977. [From VA News]
