Women’s History Month: Providing Healing, Promoting Hope
March is Women’s History Month! Throughout this month, the Caregiver Support Program (CSP) proudly celebrates the strength of women – from those who have borne the battle for our nation, to those who provide care for our heroes when they return home.
This year’s theme, Providing Healing, Promoting Hope, is a “tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history.”
Here at CSP, we see women from all walks of life provide healing and hope throughout their caregiving journeys. We also see the women Veterans within CSP who turn to their caregivers and our program for help and continue to fight the good fight every single day. These women inspire us all to stand in our strength – our strength to ask for help, our strength to provide help, and our strength to inspire hope all around us.
As we move forward with celebrating Women’s History Month, let’s remember the incredible women who broke ground in our military and for our country. Join us in our celebration by visiting the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Women’s History Month VAntagePoint page. In addition, checkout the VA Center for Women’s Veterans webpage to learn about resources for women Veterans.
We look forward to continuing our celebration of HERstory. Happy Women’s History Month!
